Real life doesn’t change because we hang up twinkling Christmas lights. People’s problems don’t go away because we sing Christmas carols instead of worship songs on Sunday mornings. And that in no way diminishes the real meaning of Christmas. In fact, that’s why we have Christmas in the first place. This is the glorious reality of Christmas; God came to us.
