The Apostle Paul wanted to make it clear that the Gospel message he preached was no new religion. Instead, the Gospel was promised by prophets long before Paul! The Gospel does not replace the Old Testament, but rather fulfills it; specifically in the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord. In Him, all the promises of God have been fulfilled!
