The idea of impacting communities is on every page of the Bible. When the Holy Spirit bears fruit in our new life in Christ, then the people around us cannot help but be affected. Although we have considered this idea before, sometimes the church can be guilty of deaf, superficial, and distracted listening tendencies. Jesus challenges us in the Parable of the Sower to consider the soil state of our hearts when we hear God's Word; even the parts they may not be easy nor appealing to us.
