Is slander really that big a deal? According to James, it’s a huge deal! In this passage, James 4:11-12, James sets the record straight, slander or speaking evil of someone is a grave sin. In essence it is akin to stepping into God’s place as the only judge and telling Him to shove over, you’ve got this. We must take this more seriously in the church than I’m afraid we currently do.
