Most of you know me as the Youth Director here at Wildwood Church and I am grateful to God to have this calling; but many of you may not know about the young adult ministry that I lead as well. What began as a small handful of us gathering in Delilah and I’s living room every Thursday night has grown into a group that we can barely cram into our home! This ministry has been a blessed experience. It has been amazing to witness God working in wonderful ways and allowing for great memories to be made. Of course, God gets all the glory, He is the mighty one at work amongst us, we are his vessels.
Maybe you weren’t aware of this ministry or you want to know a little more about it.
Below I’ve included some of the main details so you can get involved if you happen to be a young adult or you can encourage the young adults you know to get involved.
The Young Adults Ministry is for http://ukadventureracing.co.uk/members ages 18-30. It’s a time to come together, build friendships, study God’s word and ultimately grow in our faith. We typically have a time to catch up and talk in the beginning of our meetings and then we transition to the reading of God’s word and applying it to our lives. Afterwards we will pray together and occasionally do some activities if time permits. We are currently on break but we will meet again http://czechinthekitchen.com/2014/06/ every other Thursday, beginning on January 13th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Due to the growth of the group we are now meeting at the church building in the fireside room.
"Please pray that God would bless this ministry and that we as a church would continue to grow together as a unified body full of Love!"
Peer-to-peer relationships are important, but we also recognize that the church in recent years has often been age segregated to its own detriment. With this in mind, we highly encourage all of our young adults to pursue membership with Wildwood, join a Connect Group and attend worship with the entire congregation on Sunday morning. We desire that our young adults form bonds not only with each other, but also with older men and women in our church who can mentor and invest in them. It is both the responsibility of our young adults and the rest of the congregation to make an effort to build an intergenerational church where all age groups are mutually investing in one another and actively avoiding the rut of age segregation.
By God’s grace we are looking forward to growing this ministry in order to serve our young adults and encourage them to get connected in even more meaningful ways at Wildwood.
Please pray that God would bless this ministry and that we as a church would continue to grow together as a unified body full of Love!
I love you all!
