He Works All Things for Good

Sometimes the Lord uses our pain and suffering for someone else’s benefit. Sometimes He allows us to go through difficult times and seasons in order to help other people. It’s hard to think that my pain might be someone else’s gain, but that is the example Jesus set and he did call us to follow Him. Though it might be hard to embrace, once we do, we learn that it’s really a blessing to be used by the Lord for someone else’s good; even if it means we have to endure hardship to get there.

Incomparable Glory

Life can be really painful. Things don’t go the way we expected they would. We get a diagnosis that leaves us stunned and shocked. Bills stack up. A friend betrays us. Life is hard. That’s just the way it is. But the beautiful hope of redemption is that this is not always going to be the way it is! Walk Worthy

When I was a teenager and first received my driver’s license, my parents increasingly gave me more freedom to drive places on my own. The further they let me drive on my own, the more they would remind me that driving wasn’t a right, it was a privilege. I should drive as though I wanted that privilege to continue. The state of WI gave me the right to drive, but my parents could take away the privilege if I didn’t drive in a manner worthy of that privilege.
